What is a Clubhouse?

A “CLUBHOUSE” is a place where people who have mental illnesses come to rebuild and/or regain control of their social and economic lives. An important aspect of the CLUBHOUSE model is relationships between staff and members and between individual members.

CLUBHOUSES are ran jointly by members and staff, who work side-by-side, in a unique partnership to ensure the responsibilities of the CLUBHOUSE is completed each day.

Responsibilities in the CLUBHOUSE and paid employment are recognized and valued as a vital part of recovery from mental illnesses. Towards this end, CLUBHOUSES engage in activities that help our members live successfully in the community.
